Privacy Policy

SquareLens ("the extension", "we", "us") is a Chrome extension developed by cFireInnovations. This policy explains exactly what data the extension accesses, why, and what happens to it.

Short version

SquareLens does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to any server. There are no user accounts, no analytics, and no tracking of any kind. Everything the extension does happens locally in your browser.

What the extension accesses

Page content on Binance Square only — SquareLens reads the visible text of posts on binance.com/*square* pages to detect cryptocurrency tickers (e.g. $BTC, $ETH). It does not read content on any other website.
Your settings — hover delay, chart timeframe, theme (dark/light) and language preference are saved using Chrome's storage.sync API. This data stays within your own Chrome profile and syncs only through your personal Google account, exactly like Chrome's built-in bookmark sync. We never receive a copy of it.

What the extension does NOT do

It does not require or request a Binance account, login, or API key.
It does not access your wallet, balances, or trading history.
It does not collect browsing history outside of Binance Square.
It does not use cookies, fingerprinting, or any tracking technology.
It does not sell, rent, or share any data with third parties.
It does not display third-party advertising.

Website analytics

This landing page (not the extension itself) uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how many people visit and click through to the Chrome Web Store. This is standard, anonymized web analytics — it does not identify you personally and is separate from anything the extension does inside your browser. You can opt out using Google's opt-out browser add-on.

Third-party content

When you hover a ticker, SquareLens loads a chart using TradingView's public, embeddable widget (s.tradingview.com/widgetembed). This is the same widget used by thousands of public websites. Loading this widget may cause your browser to make a request directly to TradingView's servers, subject to TradingView's own privacy policy. SquareLens does not control or have access to any data exchanged in that request.

Some links inside the extension (such as "Gráfico por TradingView") use a TradingView affiliate referral link. Clicking it does not share any personal data — it simply opens TradingView's website in a new tab.

Permissions explained

tabs — used only to open the welcome page on install, and to open external links (TradingView, cFireInnovations, donation page) in a new tab when you click them inside the extension popup.
storage — used only to save your local preferences as described above.
host_permissions (binance.com) — required so the extension can run on Binance Square and detect tickers. SquareLens is inactive on every other website, including the rest of Binance's own platform.

Children's privacy

SquareLens is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, regardless of age, since it collects no data at all.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will be revised. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
